Introduction to Backyard Maple Sugaring - With Zionsville Nature Center
Are you interested in making your own maple syrup? You can get started in your own yard with just a few supplies! Join Naturalist and sugar maker, Rachel Felling, for this workshop to learn the basics of backyard maple syrup production. We will discuss tree selection, tapping protocols, sap collection, and cooking methods. We will also share resources for information and supplies, as well as go over questions and troubleshooting. After this workshop, you’ll be ready to make your own maple syrup!
