The Motherhood Trail - At Eagle Creek Park - With Indy Parks and Recreation

The Motherhood Trail is a self-guided trail on the Pin Oak Loop right outside the Earth Discovery Center. You may walk this trail on your own time at your own pace during all park hours 7am-9pm from May 1-May 15. Motherhood is a wild journey. Human mothers and animal mothers are doing their best to make decisions that help their offspring thrive. This trail was created for mothers. Hike the trail to discover some of the many ways animals raise their young. Helicopter moms, adoptive moms, and more are represented in the animal world. Come celebrate the adventure of motherhood as you see what you have in common (or not) with wildlife. The trail is free with park admission and there is no need to register. The Pin Oak Loop meets across the road from the Earth Discovery Center and is a 1/2 mile trail that is mostly flat. There are no stairs and some wheelchairs and strollers can traverse the trail. Please call the Earth Discovery Center if you have any accessibility questions. 317-327-7148 The Earth Discovery Center is open Monday-Saturday from 10am-5pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm. We will be closed on Tuesday, May 6 for Election Day. Park admission is $6 per car for Marion County residents and $7 per car for non-residents. There are no additional fees to hike the Motherhood Trail or enter the Earth Discovery Center.
