Smashin' Pumpkins - At Mulberry Fields Park

Presented by REA. Join us for a smashing good time at Zionsville Parks and Recreation’s pumpkin smash & compost bash, SMASHIN’ PUMPKINS! Enjoy delicious food from local food trucks, and engaging compost education sessions. Watch in awe as the Zionsville Fire Department drops a pumpkin from their fire engine's ladder and participate in pumpkin repurposing demos. Smash your own pumpkins or purchase one on-site while supplies last, with proceeds supporting Parks Events.

Eco-Friendly Pumpkin Decorating Tips:
- Go for a classic jack-o-lantern face but use battery-operated lights and candles – you can find ones that flash or have color-changing settings
- Nail or drill holes into your pumpkin to create a design or pattern and use a battery-operated candle inside
- Decorate using leaves and flowers using DIY biodegradable glue and a foam brush
- Use bio-degradable paints or stickers
- Etched Pumpkins are a fun way to put a design on your pumpkin without paint
- Use a headband, wig, hat or mask to dress up your pumpkin
- Wrap your pumpkin in bandage to give it a MUMMY costume
- Carve out your pumpkin and place a pot of your favorite flowers or succulents inside
