The back parlor is the setting for the stage adaptation of “The Inexperienced Ghost” by Paul T. Nolan. Based on the story by H.G. Wells, a pathetic and frightened ghost is unable to return to the spiritual realm. He begs the assistance of a cadre of socially elite snobs where he winds up intruding in a most delicate matter.
“The Proposition,” written for stage by James Trofatter, based on the story by Donna Wing, will come alive in the sitting room. A wealthy woman invites her husband’s mistress to tea in order to offer her a most interesting and delicate proposition. But the details of the offer prove to be rather shocking.
James Trofatter’s “The House of Sanity” is staged in the dining room. Based on adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s dark comical mystery, “The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether,” an inquisitive visitor arrives at an insane asylum that employs a revolutionary new system. The guest soon learns why the “system” has been abandoned by other hospitals.
